We’re here to stay!

The long awaited draft Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2009 is here. There is much debate on the impact of the bill for our sport, but for the most part the IAA is welcoming the direction of it. As we were told last year by a TD, Airsoft is Here to Stay. This Bill lays that out in black and white.
The copy that has been published to the public is not the final draft the Dáil will vote on, as many stages still have to be completed and amendments may be made.
The IAA is asking for feedback and your feelings about the Bill, we will be putting them all together into a submission paper to the DOJ for clarification. We will also be lobbying for changes in areas you feel are required.
We have spent today putting together an initial report and guide to the Bill for individuals and businesses, We call it Airsoft, the MPB and You. This is only the beginning of our documentation on the matter, and we as always are accepting submissions, feedback and ideas for our talks with the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. We welcome these on our forums, via email to [email protected], or in person wherever you see us.
